Everyone sees something different here depending on their story.
"The Gift" is the outcome we all hope for. A lady in her 70's brushes her hair for bed. The thoughts and feelings of when she held her hair in her hands following chemotherapy come flooding back. It should have been her days in the sun but it was a tough, tough time. She didn't know what future lay ahead.
The support of friends and family carried her through and she rose up stronger. For her, cancer was the end of a hard journey and the beginning of a beautiful life lived to the full.
'Breast Cancer Now' believe that if we act now, that by 2050 any person diagnosed with breast cancer will live.
I would dearly love to hear what this photograph means to you. Your comments will help develop and inspire the project further and add weight and eloquence where I can not. You can do so anonymously if you choose.
